Come and observe first
Walking into something new can feel daunting. So with Grow, you don’t have to dive in — you’re warmly welcome to simply watch and listen first, until you feel ready.
You can join as a “community observer”
It’s completely natural to want to know what a group is like before you take part. That’s why anyone is welcome to come along as a community observer for up to three meetings — no need to speak, share or commit to anything.
Just sit in, see how a Grow group feels, and decide in your own time whether it’s right for you. There’s no cost, and absolutely no pressure either way.
Three easy steps
Let us know
Get in touch and tell us you’d like to observe. We’ll suggest a group and a time, and let the group know to expect you.
Come and watch
Attend up to three meetings as an observer. Listen, take it in, and feel the atmosphere — speaking is entirely optional.
Decide in your own time
If it feels right, you’re welcome to join in. If not, that’s completely fine too — no questions asked.
What a Grow meeting is like
A typical group is small — usually between three and fifteen people — and meets weekly for around two hours. Meetings are warm, down-to-earth and confidential.
- A friendly welcome, especially for anyone new
- Time for people to share how they’re going, as much or little as they like
- Working gently through part of the Grow program together
- Plenty of encouragement, understanding and genuine friendship
Nothing is staged or clinical — it’s just real people supporting one another.
While you observe
No need to speak
Listen for as long as you like. You’ll never be put on the spot or asked to share before you’re ready.
Confidential
What’s shared in the group stays in the group. Your privacy is always respected.
Ask anything
Have questions? The organiser is happy to chat before or after the meeting, at your pace.
No commitment
Observing doesn’t tie you to anything. Come once, come three times, or decide it’s not for you.
Take all the time you need
There’s no rush and no wrong way to start. The first step can simply be quietly watching from the side.
Arrange to observe a group
Get in touch and we’ll find a group near you (or online), let you know when it meets, and make sure you’re warmly welcomed when you arrive.
